Crib complete!

The mattress and quilt arrived this week, so we set up the crib. Of course, we can't use the bumper pad for a few months, so I'll pack that away. The quilt is too beautiful to pack away, so we're going to hang it above the crib until we can use it. So it's somewhat anti-climactic to have it all set up, but it's wonderful to see it all coming together. It's more and more real every day! And tomorrow we start our birthing classes, where it'll get even more real.

Last week the baby got to attend a Cirque du Soleil show with me. From the movements, I think Ka was also impressive from the womb. Alas, they didn't have a Ka onesie, but a cute retro Vegas one to remember the trip by. Although I tend to think the drive to the top of Yucca Mountain will be remembered by the baby. S/he will either hate or love those bouncy seats. At least it didn't send us into early labor. And the view was worth it. You could see the Sierra Nevada mountains and the mountain ranges forming Death Valley. Beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking.
