Video monitors rock

When I asked my friend and new mother, Nancy, what I should get to prepare for the arrival of Madeline, she said a video monitor might sound lavish, but it would be a life saver. And she was right. (Of course. She's my go-to-girl when I need a reality check.) Our Maddie is a noisy sleeper. She stretches and groans and makes all kinds of noises that with an audio monitor we would think signal her waking up. She'll even cry and fuss and go right back to sleep. And the coolest thing about the monitor we got is that it pans and zooms. We can zoom right in on her tummy raising and pan around to see if the cat (one of our live monitors along with Sally) is nearby.
