During my recent trip to Florida, I had an incredible opportunity to be a passenger in a T-34, which in and of itself is a grand experience. However, the T-34 is an aerobatic plane. And how often does one get to experience that?! I can't remember all the manuevers the pilot (Bryan B.) performed, but some of the more memorable where the hammerhead, snap roll and loop. Surprisingly, I discovered that the moments that had the most impact (no pun intended) were those in which the plane was driving straight down toward the earth or when the nose was skyward and we were free falling. During one loop, we pulled 3 Gs. My eyes watered as my head was thrust into the seat, but WOW! That's all I can say. It really is a feeling like no other.
